From Bali to Lombok
- Plane: the official site advises flying to Lombok International Airport in Praya, or to Bali and then taking a ferry. According to Wikipedia, the Denpasar route is served by TransNusa, Wings Air and Lion Air (seasonal); a travel guide gives about 45 minutes of flight (Lombok to Bali direction). The airport is about a 20-minute drive from Kuta, according to Wikipedia.
- Fast boat: a travel guide lists 1 h 45 to 3 h 30 from Padang Bai, around 15 USD (October 2026), arriving at Bangsal in northern Lombok: you then have to reach the south by road.
- Public ferry: Padang Bai to Lembar, tickets via ASDP's Ferizy platform according to that guide; 4 to 5 hours according to our Bali to Lombok page, with all the details on ports and scams.
- To the port or airport in Bali: a private car with driver (GetYourGuide listing "Bali: private car and minibus charter with driver") or our private driver in Bali page; for the airport, see from the airport to Ubud, Canggu or Seminyak. A night in Padang Bai avoids a too-early start before a boat.
Where to stay near Kuta
Kuta is a town on Lombok's south coast, in Central Lombok, about a 20-minute drive from the airport (Wikipedia). The official MotoGP site mentions hotels and resorts along the Mandalika coast, near the circuit, and the option of staying in Bali; for the 2026 edition it also announced a camping ground near the circuit, with no confirmation yet for 2027. Tempo reported hotels 90 percent booked before a past race: book early, with free cancellation while dates and tickets are not confirmed.

- Bali: possible according to the official site, but the trip to Lombok adds time.
