What you do from Lovina
- Dawn dolphins: boats leave very early (around 6 am). Choose an operator that keeps a reasonable distance from the animals. See Lovina dolphins.

- Snorkelling: reefs near the shore, visibility varies.
- Evenings: quiet, a few beach bars, far less going on than in the south.

- Lovina Beach Hotel. Listed as a 3-star beachfront hotel with an outdoor pool, free self-parking and beachfront dining. Why pick it: simple, on the beach. Limit: 3-star comfort.
- Lovina Beach Club & Resort. Listed as 3.5-star and beachfront, with a children's pool, an outdoor pool and a fitness centre. Why pick it: children's pool at a mid level. Limit: I read no detail on room types.
- Puri Bagus Lovina. Listed on Travelmyth with a swim-up bar, a lazy river, an outdoor pool, a spa and a beachfront position; score 8.6. Why pick it: resort pool area. Limit: I did not confirm family facilities.

Our advice
