Where to celebrate
In Canggu, beach clubs run buffets, pool access, DJs and fireworks; the FINNS beach club is named by several guides as one of the island's biggest parties and its tickets sell out ahead. In Seminyak, KU DE TA and W Bali are the most quoted venues for a seaside countdown; their quoted programmes are partly from the 2025-2026 season. In Uluwatu, Savaya and Ulu Cliffhouse are quoted for DJ nights or dinners above the ocean. In Ubud there is no big beach party: garden dinners, dance and a calmer mood. Other quoted fireworks spots: Kuta beach, Jimbaran Bay, Sanur (more family-friendly) and Nusa Dua. One guide advises arriving before 10 pm to find a good place.
Booking
- Gala dinners: 1.5 to 4 million IDR according to a hotel guide (promotional). They fill up around mid-December; check the dress code and cancellation terms.
- Accommodation: high season runs roughly from 25 December to 2 January; book in October or November (see Bali in December 2026).

Transport on the 31st
Traffic is heavy from 6 pm to 1 am, with roads closed near beaches and taxis costing more after midnight. Leave before 5:30 pm if heading to a beach or town centre, stay close to your venue, allow 1 to 2 km of walking after midnight and agree a pick-up point away from the crowd. Personal fireworks are discouraged and banned in some areas.
Weather and plan B
