| Where | Immigration in Denpasar (Renon), Singaraja, Jimbaran according to one guide |

| Overstay | IDR 1,000,000 per day |
How to do it, step by step
- Count your days: the extension is requested before the expiry date, not on the last day.
- Gather your passport, a copy of the arrival visa, photos and proof of accommodation.
- Start the request online (some guides mention the M-Paspor app and an immigration portal), then go to the office: the in-person visit is still required.
- Pay the fee at the bank counter on site according to one guide, give your biometrics and come back for the passport: two visits are possible. Going to the office yourself is cheapest; an agent adds fees.
The traps
- Overstay: IDR 1,000,000 per day late, no exception found in the sources. Keep a margin.
- After the extension: one guide says you must leave the country when the 60 days end.
- Fee increase: one source mentions a proposed rise in August 2026 (IDR 750,000 for the e-VOA and IDR 1,000,000 for the visa on arrival) not confirmed by an official rule: check current fees.
- Tourist levy: the IDR 150,000 Bali levy is a separate payment; see visa and tourist levy.
Staying longer?
If 60 days is not enough, a remote-work visa exists: see the digital nomad visa. For health, travel insurance is essential: travel insurance for Bali. To prepare the trip, see before you go to Bali.
