Bali Zoo is a zoo in Singapadu, near Sukawati, about 20 to 30 minutes by car from Ubud (estimate). It opens daily from 9:00 to 17:00 according to a reseller listing, and last entry is one hour before closing. The basic ticket is enough for most visitors. - Come at opening (9:00): it is cooler and the animals are more active. Bring a hat, water and sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. Avoid the hottest hours (12:00 to 15:00) for the open-air parts. A ticket bought online often costs less than at the gate. To combine it with an outing, the road passes near Tegenungan and central Ubud. Unofficial prices, to confirm.
How to get there
Singapadu, about 20 to 30 minutes from Ubud and 45 minutes to 1 hour from the airport (estimates, depending on traffic). The easiest way is a driver or a transfer; Grab and Gojek also work.
