Kanto Lampo Waterfall (Ubud): price, opening hours, best time and access

Updated on October 25, 2026

Kanto Lampo waterfall, near Sukawati in the Gianyar area, is known for water that flows down in steps over dark rocks. It is a short stop (allow 45 minutes to 1 hour) and easy to reach from Ubud, often combined with Tegenungan, Tibumana and Tukad Cepung. Guides consulted in October 2026 give an entry fee of about 20,000 to 25,000 IDR (some 10,000, one "free") and hours of about 6:30 to 17:30; no official source found: confirm at the entrance.

Highlights

The stepped waterfall

The stepped waterfall

Water runs over black rocks and natural steps, in a small canyon with a shallow river. Visitors stand in the water for the photo, so there are always people.

To swim or not

You can paddle in the shallow pool, but the rocks are slippery and the current can rise after rain. For other waterfalls and a comparison, see the waterfalls of Bali and Tegenungan waterfall.
