Mount Batur hot springs: Toya Devasya, price, hours and what to do after the hike (2026)
The Mount Batur hot springs are pools of water naturally heated by the volcano, on the shore of Lake Batur near the village of Toya Bungkah. The best-known is the Toya Devasya complex; most people go to relax after the sunrise hike, and many tours combine both in the same morning. Allow 1 to 2 hours on site. Entry prices found in October 2026 contradict each other (one resale site shows from about 8 euros, another "free"): check the price on the offer before booking.
Highlights

The Toya Bungkah pools
A hot pool fed by a natural spring from the volcano, used by locals and visitors on the shore of Lake Batur.

The springs of Lake Batur
Several hot water points lie along the lakeshore; locals gather there, while the developed complexes add changing rooms and lockers.
Which option to choose
A developed complex such as Toya Devasya (pools, changing rooms, lockers, restaurant; a ticket with towel and locker is offered) or a simpler pool on the lakeshore, cheaper but with no facilities. For a first visit, the developed complex is easier.
What you do there
Bathe, have breakfast or lunch facing the lake and the volcano. The springs are part of the caldera: see Mount Batur for the climb.
Practical info
Tips
- Bring swimwear, a towel (or rent one on site) and dry clothes: after a night walk, the hot bath is welcome for the legs. Avoid peak hours, when the sunrise tours arrive together (around 9 to 10 am, estimate). Bring cash for lockers and meals. For the full tour with transfer, see which Batur sunrise tour and the sunrise trek. For the rest of the day, Kintamani is very close.
How to get there
About 1.5 to 2 hours by road from Ubud, more in traffic. The easiest is a tour combining sunrise and springs (hotel transfer included) or a private driver.
