The weather
The dry season is well established: skies are mostly clear, heat stays bearable and humidity drops. The start of the season varies from year to year and a shower is still possible: check the Indonesian weather agency (BMKG) forecast before leaving. Crowds and prices
Crowds are medium: popular sites (Tegallalang, Tirta Empul, Nusa Penida) fill by mid-morning, but less than in summer. Around Eid al-Adha (about 16-17 May 2027), expect more people and traffic for a few days. To estimate your budget, see Bali travel budget.
What to do

- Volcano: a good time for the Batur sunrise.

- Beach and surf: good for the south coast, see Uluwatu and Canggu.
