Temples and ceremonies: donation
Many temples ask for an entry fee, others accept a donation. Bring a sarong and respect the code: the temple dress code. Processions and village ceremonies are free to watch from the roadside: see the festival calendar. Do not mix with worshippers unless invited.
What is not free
Bali's tourist levy is due on arrival: see hidden fees and the tourist levy. The Ubud Monkey Forest, the best-known waterfalls and rice-field swings are paid. For sunset views without paying, see sunset spots.
