The weather
Skies are mostly clear and days are pleasant with low humidity. It is a good time for sunrises, temples and diving. The first showers get closer by month end, but not always: check the Indonesian weather agency (BMKG) forecast before leaving. To compare, read when to visit Bali.
Crowds and prices
Fewer people than in July and August, but headline sites (Lempuyang, Tegallalang, Nusa Penida) remain busy mid-morning: arrive at opening. Good tables and accommodation in Ubud and Canggu still need booking a few weeks ahead. Budget: Bali travel budget.
What to do
- Temples: Lempuyang and Besakih, see which Lempuyang tour.
- Volcano: sunrise at Batur.
- Sea: Nusa Penida, see Nusa Penida east or west, and the Gili Islands.
