Melasti Beach (Uluwatu): price, access by car, opening hours and tips
Melasti Beach, at Ungasan in the south of Bali, is a white-sand beach at the foot of limestone cliffs, with turquoise water and a paved road that goes down to the shore. It is therefore easier to reach than other beaches in the area: no long staircase, you arrive by car or scooter. According to guides consulted in October 2026, entry costs about 10,000 IDR per adult (15,000 according to another), parking about 5,000 IDR for a car and 2,000 IDR for a scooter (2024 figures), in cash, with access from about 7:00 to 19:00. Unofficial prices, to be confirmed.
Highlights

The beach seen from above
A beach of pale sand at the foot of the cliff, with rocky platforms uncovered at low tide and waves breaking offshore. Ideal for a photo stop and for sunset.
The road through the cliff
The road crosses the limestone cliff and goes straight down to the beach, which makes it easy to visit with children. For other beaches and a comparison, see the beaches of Uluwatu and Padang Padang.

Pay in cash. The sea can be rough: watch the waves and stay near the edge. No official price displayed: keep small change. For a day, add Uluwatu temple and the kecak.
