Seafood dinner on Jimbaran beach, in southern Bali, is a sunset classic: tables set in the sand, fish and prawns grilled over coconut husk fire, the bay at nightfall. Full set menus are advertised at about 20 to 25 dollars per person on booking sites, à la carte at about 150,000 to 300,000 rupiah per person for a standard meal; drinks, tax and service extra. Found in October 2026 in guides and booking pages, no official price list.
Highlights

The tables on the beach
At dusk, the cafés lined along the bay set out tables by candlelight, feet in the sand. The Kedonganan cafés, at the northern end of the bay, are closest to the fish market.

The seafood plate
A typical menu includes grilled fish (about 300 to 350 g), prawns, squid, mussels, rice, vegetables and fruit. Lobsters and crabs cost markedly more.
A sunset to combine
Many visitors link the Uluwatu temple and the kecak dance, then dine at Jimbaran: it is one of the most booked evening tours in the south (several thousand reviews on booking sites).

Tips
- There are two ways to buy: a set menu (simpler, price known in advance) or fish à la carte, weighed in front of you, for which you must ask the price by weight before ordering. One guide cites 220,000 to 380,000 rupiah for a grilled fish platter and 550,000 to 850,000 for a mixed platter for two; many places add 10% service and 10% tax. Ask what is included (drink, soup, fruit) and mention allergies. Traffic is heavy at the end of the afternoon: see private driver in Bali for a return trip. To sleep in the area, see Uluwatu and where to stay in Bali. Indicative prices, to confirm at the restaurant.
How to get there
Jimbaran is about 15 to 25 minutes from Bali airport, under an hour from Uluwatu and one to two hours from Ubud (estimates, depending on traffic). See from Bali airport to Ubud, Canggu or Seminyak.
